Emergencies happen, we’ve got you covered
We currently offer multiple overdraft options on your checking account to protect you from insufficient funds. An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. We can cover your overdrafts in the following ways:
Based on your instructions, we can link a savings account, FCCU credit card or line of credit to your checking account to cover the transaction when funds are not available.1 As funds are needed in the checking account to cover transactions, we transfer the money between the accounts you have designated. There is a small fee for this service. Please see the fee schedule for current fee information.
Overdraft Privilege (ODP)
Overdraft Privilege is a program that is available to members after your checking account has been open for 60 days if qualifications are met. This allows FCCU to overdraw your checking account in order to pay transactions up to a predetermined limit. A fee is charged each time we pay an overdraft. See fee schedule for current fees. You have a maximum of 30 days to bring the account back into a positive balance status.
We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction.
