Fun Virtual Activities
Spice up your next Zoom call with these ideas.
It’s been fun connecting and chatting with our family and friends virtually via Zoom, Facetime, Google Hangouts, etc., but the more we social distance, we may find our conversations becoming drab and boring. Shake up the monotonous Zoom calls with a little planning and creativity to bring the spark back into your virtual hangouts. Check out these fun activities to do with your loved ones during your next virtual gathering.
Host your own karaoke night
Hop online to find some of your favorite song lyrics (or if you know them by heart, even better) and get to singing! Check apps like Spotify, Apple Music or even YouTube for karaoke playlists to get the party started.
TIP: When it is someone’s turn on “stage”, have everyone mute their mics so they can have their time in the spotlight.
Have a painting party!
Bring the idea of “sip and paint” home by painting with your friends and family virtually! You can purchase canvases, templates, paints, etc. online at places such as Etsy or craft stores. Companies such as Painting with a Twist or Pinot’s Palette also sell at home kits.
Game Night
If you’re like me and enjoy game night with your friends, take it virtual! Sure, you may not be playing card games like Uno or Phase 10, but here’s a small list of games to get you started playing online: Outburst, Quiplash, Codenames and Drawful 2.
Netflix Party
That’s right, Netflix offers an internet browser extension allowing you to watch movies and tv shows together long distance. Keep in mind that the browser extension is only offered on Google Chrome via your laptop or desktop. Visit Netflixparty.com to find out more. If you don’t have Netflix, research what your favorite streaming service has to offer for connecting virtually with your loved ones to watch a show or movie.
