We Care so We Give
First Community is inspired by the communities we serve and recognize our roots in school districts, giving us a heart for education. This commitment has grown and transformed into the First Community Cares Foundation. Giving back to benefit and engage our communities is how we demonstrate this care.
The First Community Cares Foundation is pleased to provide scholarships to deserving high school graduates to assist with their college/university education. In addition to our ongoing support of school districts, we make donations upon request to local and national causes. First Community Cares Foundation Scholarship
Eligibility: To apply for our Scholarship Program, students must:
- Be a 2025 graduating high school senior who will attend a college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or 3.8 on a 5.0 scale
- Be a primary member of First Community Credit Union with a savings account open and in good standing for at least 90 days prior to the official application deadline for that year.
- Deadline to submit scholarship applications is January 23, 2025.
First Community Cares Donation Requests
- We're proud to support school districts and other non-profit organizations in the Greater Houston Area through First Community Cares Foundation. First Community Cares Foundation was created to assist organizations that are making a difference in the communities we mutually serve.
- Donation requests may be filled out by a representative of your organization whether they are a member of FCCU or not.
- Funding is considered on a case-by-case basis and is subject to our annual budget limitations as set by our Foundation Board of Directors. All decisions of the First Community Cares Foundation are final unless new information is presented for an additional review to be made.
