When do I officially become a member of FCCU?

You are a member of FCCU and we will update you as we work to consolidate our systems so you can enjoy all of the FCCU technology benefits and locations. We appreciate your understanding as we work through this systems integration and will keep updates on our website at FCCU.org/USTCU

When will USTCU become FCCU?

USTCU is part of FCCU.

What happens to my existing Debit/ATM cards?

You may continue to use your Debit/ATM cards as normal.

Why did USTCU and First Community (FCCU) merge?

We believe this merger will allow the two credit unions to grow and thrive for generations to come. We are excited to continue to grow together.

Will Branch office hours of operation change?

USTCU branch hours will remain the same.

Who will be the Chief Executive Officer of the credit union?

o TJ Tijerina is the President/Chief Executive Officer and has been providing leadership to FCCU in a variety of roles for over 20 years. Under his leadership FCCU is financially strong, and is focused on enhancing our technology and services along with giving back to our communities we serve.

Will I continue to have access to my accounts through Online Banking?

Yes, you will continue to use USTCU Virtual Login to view your accounts through April 30th. Your new FCCU member number has been mailed to you. Once received, you may enroll in FCCU’s Online Banking platform; please note that balances will not accurately reflect in FCCU’s Online Banking until May 1st.

Will the USTCU location change?

The USTCU Location will remain and evolve into an FCCU branded branch.

Where do I mail my loan/credit card payments?

How will this merger affect my current deposit accounts and loans?

In the interim, you current accounts and loans will remain the same. We will update you in advance of any changes as we consolidate our products and services.

Can I still use my current checks?

You may continue to use your checks as normal.

Can I change or open an account with FCCU before the system consolidation and how do I do that?

Yes, you can open an account with FCCU. Please visit the USTCU location or any of FCCU branch location near you.

Are my accounts still insured?

Your accounts are federally insured by NCUA up to $250,000. NCUA is the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the Federal Government.

Will I have to update my direct deposit information and how do I do that?

At this time, your direct deposit will remain as is. We will continue to provide updates of the consolidation of systems and if there will be changes.

Will there be any fee assessed to my account due to this change?

Your current products and services will remain the same. We will update you in advance of any changes as we consolidate our products and services.

When will I see my account transition to FCCU?

On May 1st, all your deposit balances and loans (except credit cards) will transition over to the FCCU platform. You may enroll your membership in Online Banking through the FCCU.org website or by downloading the FCCU mobile app from the Apple or Google Play store.

Can I still see my accounts using the USTCU.com website?

Only before May 1st; after May 1st you will need to enroll your membership in FCCU’s Online Banking through the FCCU.org website or by downloading the FCCU mobile app from the Apple or Google Play store.

What will happen to my loan with USTCU?

All USTCU loans will transition to our FCCU platform on May 1st except for your credit card (if applicable).

Will my term and rate for my USTCU loan stay the same or will it change?

All loans (except for credit cards) will transfer with the same rate and term.

I have a rate of 7.90% APR on my USTCU credit card? Is the rate going to change?

You will receive notification of any changes in term with your credit card.

My CD matures before May 1st, can I renew it with the FCCU terms and rates?

Yes, you can visit USTCU or an FCCU branch to speak to a banker and complete the process.

What if my loan is secured by a CD with USTCU but my CD is maturing prior to May 1st and my loan has a longer term remaining?

We will follow the loan documentation guidance. We will review their specific loans documents as these circumstances arise and adhere to the terms & conditions described there.

What if I already have an FCCU membership?

Please continue to use your First Community membership. Additional products may be added to your existing membership and new memberships may need to be combined to your existing FCCU membership to be visible in Online Banking under your existing log in.

Can I change or add on to my existing FCCU membership before the account and loan transitions occur? If so, how do I do this?

Yes. All USTCU members that have already opened an FCCU membership, can change or add on to an account with FCCU at any time. Please visit the USTCU location or any FCCU branch location near you.

When will I be able to enroll in FCCU’s Online Banking platform?

Once you receive your FCCU Member Number in the mail, you may begin using your First Community account immediately by making a deposit and enrolling in Online Banking.

When will the USTCU Online Banking platform no longer be available?

As of April 30th, the USTCU Online Banking platform will no longer be available. If you haven’t already done so, you will need to enroll in FCCU’s Online Banking platform.

How do I transfer automatic transfers and Bill Payments?

Set up any existing scheduled transfers and bill payments in First Community’s Online Banking and Bill Pay platforms.

Will I have to update my direct deposit information and how do I do that?

All Direct Deposits and ACH transactions will continue to process without any interruption and will automatically be posted to the new First Community account.

Will there be any fee assessed to my account due to this change?

If you had a checking account with USTCU, your account did transition to FCCU’s Free Checking account; however, please make sure to enroll in eStatements to receive your statement electronically and avoid the paper statement fee of $2 if you continue receiving statements in the mail.

What if my loan payment is due on 4/30 when the transition is taking place?

Loan payments not made by 4/30 will not be processed by USTCU’s bill pay service so please plan accordingly to ensure your payment is made. No changes occurred for credit cards; continue to use your USTCU credit card and make payments as usual.

When will I be able to complete a deposit using mobile deposit inside FCCU’s Online Banking?

You may begin using remote deposit capture in FCCU’s Online Banking platform once you have enrolled.

I have a CD with USTCU that it is not maturing soon; will the term and rate change when it transfers?

No, we will honor the terms of your contract CD agreement(s) with USTCU.

How can I get my USTCU credit card balances?

If you have not done so, please register your credit card by visiting www.ezcardinfo.com Once your card is registered, you’ll have access to view balances and account transactions.

How can I make payments to my USTCU credit card?

Your credit card is still available through your original USTCU credit card customer service line which is 833-541-0763; please make payments by calling this number. The customer service number is available on your monthly statement as well. Please have the routing number and account number you wish to use for the payment available. You may also mail your payment using our bill pay system (address noted below). View your account by registering it at www.ezcardinfo.com

Am I able to make a loan payment by phone? If so, will there be a fee?

We offer multiple options to complete loan payments. You may call our Call Center at 281.856.5300 to complete a payment by phone; however, a fee of $15 will be assessed. We offer many lower cost options to make a payment and are happy to help you set another option up if you’d like. Review all options at FCCU.org/Payments to find the option that works best for you.

What information do I need to make a loan payment by phone?

Make sure to have your member number and loan number to provide for the payment.

Am I able to check my account balances by phone

Yes, you may check your accounts, make account transfers, etc. through P.A.T, our Personal Account Teller. Learn more at FCCU.org/PAT

Why did I receive an FCCU debit card?

Debit Cards were mailed out to all USTCU checking account holders prior to May 1st to ensure your new FCCU debit card was received by May 1st, when all remaining funds in your USTCU account will automatically transfer to FCCU. Effective April 30th, your USTCU debit card will be deactivated.

Will I have access to my funds with my FCCU Debit Card prior to May 1st?

Yes, you can visit one of our branches and speak to a banker to complete the process.

Can I still use my current USTCU checks?

As of April 30th, discontinue use of USTCU checks. Beginning May 1st, use your FCCU checks that were mailed to you. If you did not receive your FCCU Checks, contact us at 281.856.5300.

How do I send a wire from my account?

Visit any branch location or complete a wire transfer inside Online Banking. Members may send one wire per day. View all details and requirements as well as the information needed to complete a wire at FCCU.org/Wires

Can I talk to Kaye Fisher, Jamie Ghanem, or Charlotte Aubry?

Kaye is at our USTCU Branch, Jamie Ghanem has moved to the FCCU Accounting Department, and Charlotte has retired.

What happens to my existing Debit/ATM cards?

You may continue to use your USTCU Debit/ATM cards until April 30th. Beginning May 1st, begin using the FCCU debit card that was mailed to you. If you did not receive your FCCU Debit Card, contact us at 281.856.5300.
